Shamak is a science-based content brand created to make complex subjects easier and more engaging, for teenagers and young adult. The name “Shamak” comes from a Persian word meaning a tiny candle — a symbol of curiosity, light, and discovering.
Covering topics from physics, chemistry, and medicine to everyday scientific phenomena, the brand explains difficult questions through short-form visual storytelling.

The main challenge of the project was translating complex scientific concepts into short and engaging video content without losing clarity or accuracy. Since the brand was video-focused, each topic needed to be explained in a fast, visually interesting, and easy-to-understand format, sometimes including experiments, motion graphics, and storytelling — all within about one minute.
The visual identity also needed to stand out quickly among similar educational content online. Creating a energetic brand language that could capture attention within the first few seconds became an important part of the process.

The final identity system gave Shamak a bold and energetic visual language inspired by the feeling of learning science on a classroom whiteboard, but in a far more engaging way. Through playful typography, vibrant colors, and dynamic motion-based visuals, the brand developed a distinctive personality across its content.
In addition to creating the visual identity, the full production process — including filming, photography, animation, editing, and content design — was developed as part of the project. Starting from no audience, the brand quickly built engagement, with videos reaching over 10K views within only a few months while establishing its own storytelling style.
